Between 7,000 and 8,000 people die each year in Argentina due to traffic  accidents, a number that is significantly larger than most other  countries in the Americas. Diego Levy, armed with a Hasselblad, decided to document the various car wrecks in Buenos Aires. He says, “My intention is neither sensationalist nor morbid: I simply want to use  these images to portray the violence and intensity of the accidents  caused by negligence, lack of education and the lack of respect for  one’s own life and others.”
